New pOPpy as a support?
Thanks to Soufflenuit I've been able to try the new Poppy on the PBE, and I think she as more potential to be a viable support, because:
+ Her passive makes the next auto-attack a ranged one with extra damage, so it works very well with Relic Shield and the Bandit mastery.
- Q works like Graves' new spell, so it's kind of dangerous to use it during laning phase because it has the potential to ks or fuck up the ADC's farm. However it deals a lot of damage.
+ W blocks enemy's dashes, so it will be very useful against champions like Alistar, Lee Sin, Thresh... (I still need to find out exactly which spell it cancels)
+ E is basically the same.
+ R is weird, it kind of "Zhonya" the enemy(ies) and push them toward their Nexus depending on how long you charged it.
It reminds me of Tristana's ultimate, because you can use it defensively or to secure a kill.

I can't seem to find a full description of the new poppy so I can only relate to what you write here.
Depending on what you find out about W I might agree she can be a viable support.

I also think she can be pretty interesting as support, as a few spell are only half as useful on a sololane.
Here is a complete introduction to the new poppy, in english.

It's also a thing we can try out at the coming teaming, i'm totally supporting the possibility for you to play a main and well mastered champion as support

Re: New pOPpy as a support?
Ok, we tried out support Poppy in our games a bit and I'm not really sure what my opinion is at the moment.
I completely agree that just by reading her spells I have the impression she can be a great support:
Passive for great poking.
Q as utility (cc = slow) for either attack or protect.
W passive to be tanky which is quite useful for a support, W active to stop dashes (mostly disengage but if close can also be used offensively).
E as utility (cc = stun), can probably also used as a kind of insec move?
R for disengage.
So, two questions:
1. Have you found out by now which spells are cancelled by the W active?
2. Do you think when it is indeed not working really well for some reason, that it is due to you not being fast enough with W to stop the dashes?
I just want to know if it's really worth to keep playing.
